Bezant Resources plc ("Bezant" or the "Company"), the exploration and resource development company with projects located in Namibia, Botswana, Argentina and an investment in a project in the Philippines announces that its 2023 Annual General Meeting ("AGM") will be held at Fladgate LLP, 16 Great Queen Street, London, WC2B 5DG on Friday 28 July 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

The Notice of AGM, encompassing a letter from Colin Bird the Company's Executive Chairman, is being posted today and will shortly be available to download from the Company's website at www.bezantresources.com

Explanation regarding the Company's 2022 Accounts

On 30 June 2023 the Company published its audited full year results for the year ended 31 December 2022 and posted its accounts for that period ("2022 Accounts"). Subsequently, enquiries have been made of the Company regarding the reported profit for the year of GBP1,436,000. The Company would like to refer shareholders to Note 1.1 of the 2022 Accounts which explains how the profit for the year arose after a fair value adjustment further detailed in Note 11 to the 2022 Accounts. Before taking into account this fair value adjustment, the comprehensive loss from all operations for the year ended 31 December 2022 was GBP697,000.

It has also come to the Company's attention that there is a typographical error in the Consolidated Statement of Other Comprehensive Income for the year ended 31 December 2022 where the profit for the year of GBP1,436,000 is shown but the narrative refers to a Loss for the financial year. This narrative should have read Profit /(Loss) for the financial year.

The Annual Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2022 have been sent to shareholders and are available on the Company's website https://www.bezantresources.com/
