Mass Spectrometry Solutions for Lab Efficiency and
Productivity
Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that it
would showcase its complete range of mass spectrometry solutions at
the 66th American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) Conference,
being held June 3 through June 7 in San Diego, California. Agilent
is known as a market leader in mass spectrometry, developing
powerful and reliable solutions for diverse applications such as
pharmaceutical, environmental, and clinical research, as well as
forensic toxicology, and food testing.
“ASMS is always a great opportunity for us to demonstrate how
Agilent mass spectrometry solutions continue to redefine what’s
possible,” said Monty Benefiel, vice president and general manager
of Agilent’s Mass Spectrometry Division. “With recent investments
in product development and acquisitions including Genohm, we are
well positioned to provide our customers with solutions that
improve the science and economics of their labs. We look forward to
sharing more information at this years’ show.”
ASMS attendees are invited to visit Agilent’s Exhibition Booth
#800 at the San Diego Convention Center and to spend time at the
Agilent Hospitality Suite at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel, Sapphire
Ballroom MNIJ, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from
8:00–11:00 p.m. Visitors can view the latest versions of Agilent’s
MassHunter suite of products, and learn how automated sample prep
instruments improve the precision and reproducibility of mass spec
analyses. Agilent CrossLab Services will also demonstrate how to
improve overall lab efficiency with solutions such as iLab
Operations Software, an enterprise web-based management tool
designed to support operations for centralized labs and shared
research resources.
The Agilent Innovation Symposium customer event will be held
Saturday, June 2, from 5:00–9:30 p.m. at the Manchester Grand Hyatt
in San Diego. The keynote speaker Jenny van Eyk, Ph.D., from
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center will discuss how multi-omics data
collection can be facilitated by analyzing metabolomics samples on
the same Agilent LC/Q-TOF system used for proteomics.
The Innovation Symposium will also include presentations from
prominent Agilent customers including Carlos Sepúlveda, General
Manager, Agrolab México; Philip Britz-McKibbin, Ph.D., Professor at
McMaster University, Canada; and Christopher J. Petzold, Ph.D.,
Director of Functional Genomics at The Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory, California.
Breakfast seminars will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
mornings at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel, from 7:00–8:00 a.m.
Highlighting innovative technology including the Ultivo LC/MS
system, and the 6545XT AdvanceBio LC/Q-TOF system, Agilent
scientists will present topics that range from pesticides and food
safety, to the identification of low-abundant proteins for host
cell protein analysis, to the use of high-resolution spectral
analysis to simplify your refinement of targets for ultra-trace
level GC/TQ analysis.
Continuing the tradition of a medical research donation to an
organization that employs mass spectrometry products, this year
Agilent will contribute $50,000 to one of three worthy
organizations supporting cancer research. Conferees are invited to
place their votes while visiting the Agilent Hospitality Suite.
