EXPLANATORY NOTE

This amendment is to a report on Form 6-K filed by Yamana Gold Inc. on July 23, 2020 to include the following as the third paragraph:

“Shareholders of record at the close of business on September 30, 2020, will be entitled to receive payment of this dividend ($0.0175 per share for the quarter) on October 14, 2020. The dividend is an “eligible dividend” for Canadian tax purposes.”

No other changes have been made to the original Form 6-K.
