Inc. (NYSE: CNX) today announced the release of its fifth annual
Corporate Responsibility Report, which details execution against
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and outlines activities and new
initiatives undertaken during the past year toward the Company's
comprehensive corporate responsibility goals.
CONSOL Energy President and Chief Executive Officer Nicholas J. DeIuliis commented, "I am very proud

Following are key highlights included in the 2015
report:
Safety: During the year, CONSOL
achieved its best performance on record with regard to
severity. Severity was a key focus of the behavior-based
training initiative known as Positively CONSOL, which was
originally introduced in 2014. Additionally, 98% of the
Company's employees worked the entire year without a reportable
accident. The overall recordable incident rate for 2015 was 1.35, a
17% reduction from the previous year.
Environmental: A recent Susquehanna University study rated CONSOL best in
environmental performance out of 20 peer E&P companies. The
study utilized a formula developed to rank the nation's E&P
companies based on environmental impact. Through its
recycling initiatives, CONSOL sold more than 5,179 tons of metal,
1,039 tons of mine belt and 244 tons of other miscellaneous items
as scrap. The company also repurposed used materials, saved
landfill space and generated additional revenue as a result of
these efforts. In addition to the industrial materials recycled,
nearly 79 tons of paper was recycled at CONSOL's corporate
offices.
Community: In 2015, CONSOL made monetary grants
totaling nearly $3.3 million.
Investments were made in human services and educational
organizations focusing on sustainable change and building strong,
healthy communities.
