NEW YORK, April 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- J.P. Morgan
Asset Management today announced that it has hired Michael Bailey as managing director and national
sales manager for the wealth management channel in its U.S. Funds
business. Mr. Bailey was formerly national sales director at
BlackRock, responsible for the distribution of BlackRock mutual
funds, iShares ETFs and other investments through its Merrill Lynch
division.
In his new role Mr. Bailey will oversee two divisional managers
and 25 client advisors who work with wealth management firms across
the country, such as Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, UBS and Wells
PCG.
"Wealth managers are very important partners for us in
delivering investment solutions to end investors," said
Andrea Lisher, head of J.P. Morgan's
U.S. Funds business. "Mike's established relationships and success
in covering these partners will be a boon to our business and will
allow for continued growth in this channel."
J.P. Morgan has cultivated a successful sales force focused on
financial intermediaries to distribute its investment
capabilities. The fund family is the only firm in the top 5
of net sales for each of the last 5 years, bucking the trend of
outflows for active managers. The firm has invested heavily
in market insights, top-notch training capabilities and business
intelligence, making its client advisors sought after for the
