FAIRLAWN, Ohio, March 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- OMNOVA Solutions (NYSE: OMN) today announced that its shareholders have re-elected Kevin M. McMullen, Larry B. Porcellato and Robert A. Stefanko to serve as directors of the Company. All will serve three-year terms expiring at the 2012 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. Kevin M. McMullen has been Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of OMNOVA Solutions Inc. since February 2001. Prior to that, he served as Chief Executive Officer and President of the company from December 2000. From January 2000 to December 2000, Mr. McMullen served as President and Chief Operating Officer. He joined OMNOVA's former parent, GenCorp Inc., in September 1996 as Vice President and President of the Company's Decorative and Building Products business unit. Previously, Mr. McMullen was General Manager of General Electric Corporation's Commercial & Industrial Lighting business, and before that was General Manager of GE Lighting's Business Development and Strategic Planning activities. He was a management consultant with McKinsey & Co. from 1985 to 1991. Mr. McMullen has been a director of OMNOVA Solutions since 2000 and chairs the Executive Committee. Larry B. Porcellato has been Chief Executive Officer of The Homax Group, Inc. (a leader in the worldwide Do-It-Yourself industry) since January 2009. From July 2002 until January 2007, he served as Chief Executive Officer of ICI Paints North America (a $1.6B division of ICI, a global specialty chemical and coatings company). From July 2000 until June 2002, Mr. Porcellato served as Executive Vice President and General Manager, ICI Paint Stores, North America. Previously, he served as President of Stanley Mechanics Tools from March 1999 until October 2000, and held various leadership positions with Rubbermaid Incorporated from 1988 to 1999. Mr. Porcellato joined the board of OMNOVA Solutions in September 2008 and is a member of the Audit Committee. Robert A. Stefanko retired as Chairman of the Board and Executive Vice President - Finance and Administration of A. Schulman, Inc. (an international supplier of plastic components and resins) in April 2006, after having held these positions since 1991 and 1989, respectively. Mr. Stefanko joined A. Schulman in 1972, was appointed Vice President - Finance in 1979 and became a member of A. Schulman's Board of Directors in 1980.
