Business Wire
Software AG today announced the opening of ProcessWorld 2010
in Washington, D.C. at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention
Center, June 22-23. This follows the successful ProcessWorld Berlin
event on June 8-9 with over 800 participants. Featured keynote
speakers today and tomorrow are David Kline, CIO, Discovery
Communications, Inc., and Jim Adamczyk, Executive
Director–Technology, Accenture Software. They join CEO Karl-Heinz
Streibich, Software AG, and Dr. Wolfram Jost, Executive Board
Member, IDS Scheer, to deliver proven techniques for using
technology to solve critical business challenges. Over 500
participants are expected to hear 25 customers across the Adabas
and Natural, ARIS, and webMethods product lines; Software AG and
IDS Scheer product experts; and industry IT executives in 40 track
sessions designed to help organizations operate smarter, better and
faster with business process excellence (BPE) technology.
The theme of ProcessWorld 2010, “Changing the World – One
Process at a Time,” aptly describes the event’s focus on customer
project successes and proven strategies, according to Kevin
Iaquinto, Senior Vice President—Corporate Marketing, Software AG.
“We want to showcase how our customers are achieving results that
deliver real business value in terms of increased efficiency and
productivity, improved quality, and reduced operational cost,”
Iaquinto said. “This event brings that knowledge to the forefront
for others to experience and illustrates how combining the
industry-leading technology capabilities of Software AG and IDS
Scheer can change the way business is done.”
Happenings at ProcessWorld
2010
ProcessWorld 2010 merges two formerly separate events—Software
AG's Innovation World and IDS Scheer's ProcessWorld—into one
signature event that demonstrates proven success strategies for
optimizing processes across the enterprise. It’s an opportunity for
customers to collaborate with their peers to solve process
questions. The event presents keynote addresses by:
- David Kline, Chief Information
Officer for Discovery Communications, Inc. His presentation,
“Efficient Innovation – How Discovery Meets the Demands of their
Internal & External Customers,” highlights the challenges and
opportunities he faces as CIO of the world’s number one non-fiction
media company. A webMethods user, Discovery Communications won
Software AG’s Customer Innovation Award in the area of Customer
Service for their Air Master project which promotes visibility,
accessibility and reuse of digitized content for employees across
the globe.
- Jim Adamczyk, Executive
Director–Technology for Accenture Software. His presentation,
“Value Creation through Real Time Process Management,” focuses on
how high-performing companies are moving beyond merely process
design and automation to focus on mastery throughout the product
lifecycle.
- Software AG CEO Karl-Heinz
Streibich discusses “The Transformation to Business Process
Excellence,” detailing how Software AG and IDS Scheer have joined
forces to become the world leader in BPE and power organizations to
face future economic challenges through three key pillars: 1)
driving new growth through globalization, 2) building new image and
brands through innovation, and 3) delivering new levels of agility,
flexibility and profitability through process excellence.
- Dr. Wolfram Jost who leads the
entire Product Management and Marketing portfolio at Software AG,
shares the “Software AG Product Roadmap and Vision,” and how
merging Software AG’s webMethods suite with IDS Scheer’s ARIS
product creates a unique platform for BPE.
Participants will also hear in-depth case studies from customers
such as:
- Bank of America – implemented
ARIS as an enterprise tool supporting Business Process Management
(BPM) and Enterprise Change Management capabilities. With ARIS,
Bank of America has made all content available in a single company
database with versioning controlled by Release Cycle Management,
providing greater control and consistency and generating
significant efficiency gains.
- Coca-Cola Enterprises – deployed
the webMethods product suite to automate inefficient, manual
processes associated with stocking and displaying its beverage
products across North America. The web-based solution has delivered
real-time visibility into the supply chain and generates
significant annual savings for them.
- Cox Communications – implemented
webMethods Business Activity Monitoring and Enterprise Service Bus
solutions to create a system for identifying network outages and
determining the specific network devices causing a problem. The
project is expected to generate a return on investment of millions
of dollars.
In addition to the 40 track sessions featuring customers from
major industries across the globe; content on EAI, B2B, SOA and
BPM; and a Solutions Hall of new, live product demonstrations,
participants will network and celebrate with food and entertainment
at the Customer Event held high atop the Gaylord National Hotel at
Pose, touted as Washington, D.C.’s only ultra lounge featuring
phenomenal views of the nation’s capital.
