AT&T Wins $21 Million Contract From ServiceMaster CHICAGO,
April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T announced today that it has won a
$21 million integrated networking contract from The ServiceMaster
Co. (NYSE: SVM), the nation's largest provider of residential and
commercial outsourcing services. The three-year agreement renews
and expands a longstanding relationship between the two companies.
ServiceMaster provides a range of services to clean, fix, protect
and enhance 10.5 million homes and businesses each year. The
company delivers lawn care and landscape maintenance, termite and
pest control, plumbing, heating and air conditioning maintenance
and repair, cleaning and disaster restoration, furniture repair and
home warranties. By terms of the contract, AT&T will continue
providing an Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP VPN)
solution, which makes it possible for ServiceMaster to efficiently
and cost-effectively communicate with its network of over 5,400
company-owned and franchised service centers and business units, as
well as with business partners and suppliers. "Our customers depend
on ServiceMaster for help with real day-to-day problems and they
need quick access to the best service professionals in the
industry. Our voice and data network is the foundation for all we
