DALLAS, TX , parent company of the 40-year-old "Dixie Lee" brand name, with more than 80 franchised restaurants open, announced today that it will launch a flagship Dixie Lee Chicken & Seafood Restaurant in Dubai with Ahmad Nosratabadi, Dixie Lee's Middle-East Master Franchisee. The restaurant is positioned to open in February 2008.

Mr. Nosratabadi plans to establish the Dixie Lee Chicken & Seafood chain in 10 markets throughout the Middle East, including plans for Kuwait and 5 additional restaurants in the UAE in the next two years. The company aims to establish 30 restaurants over the next 5 to 8 years.

"The launch of our flagship Chicken & Seafood location in Dubai is an important milestone in our goal to expand our global footprint. The city's inhabitants span 120 nationalities and Dubai hosts 10 million tourists every year, but it is the quality of the demographics that we find most intriguing. Dubai is a hub where many of the world's most capable and very progressive business leaders meet.

"Middle Eastern traditions and its passion for 'Western-style' comfort food were a great motivating factor for us to introduce the Dixie Lee Chicken & Seafood experience to the region," said Joe Murano, Dixie Lee CEO.

Dixie Lee Executive Vice President, David Silvester added, "On behalf of Dixie Lee, I would like to thank Ahmad Nosratabadi for his contribution towards the roll-out of what we believe will be an extensive expansion of our Dixie Lee Chicken & Seafood Restaurant subsidiary in the Middle East. Since Dubai is considered to be the 'window to the world,' this restaurant will enable us to prove Dixie Lee's brand acceptability within a diverse cultural and social mix, and provide a potential gateway to the other Middle Eastern markets and the North Africa region. We intend to launch our newest subsidiary division, 'Dixie Lee Diner,' in the Middle East once we've established our Dixie Lee brand in Dubai."

About Dixie Lee

The Dixie Lee brand name started with the opening of the first Dixie Lee Chicken & Seafood restaurant in 1964 in Belleville, Ontario Canada. Building on an old Louisiana chicken recipe, the Dixie Lee name has grown to include subsidiary and affiliated companies accounting for more than 80 branded restaurants open and more than 20 in development. Dixie Lee restaurant concepts include full service, fast casual and take-out. Dixie Lee International Industries, Inc., (PINKSHEETS: DLII), is currently developing its newest franchised concept, the classic "Dixie Lee Diner," a 60 to 80 seat stainless steel diner reminiscent of the nostalgic 1940s and 1950s family diners featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dixie Lee International Industries, Inc. is expanding through both corporate-owned and franchised restaurant development throughout North America and abroad.
