Danish industrial plant maker and services supplier FLSmidth & Co. A/S (FLS.KO) said Thursday it has signed an agreement to purchase U.S. firm Phillips Kiln Services Ltd, a provider of kiln services to the cement and minerals industries.

MAIN FACTS:

- FLSmidth has Thursday signed a share purchase agreement to acquire 100% shareholding in Phillips Kiln Services Ltd..

- FLSmidth didn't state a purchase price.

- Phillips Kiln Services is a well-established international services provider that specialises in the maintenance, reconditioning and repair of kilns and related equipment.

- Capable of working on all makes and models of rotary kilns, dryers, and associated equipment, the company offers an excellent mix of services and competencies to the cement and minerals industries, FLSmidth said.

- The share purchase agreement and the subsequent acquisition of Phillips Kiln Services is a natural extension of FLSmidth's Customer Services business and fits perfectly the service offerings to cement and minerals customers worldwide, it said.

- Phillips Kiln Services is located in South Sioux City, Nebraska, U.S.A and has around 190 employees.
