Fresenius SE said Wednesday that its hospital-operator division
will acquire a hospital in Bogota, expanding its presence in
Colombia.
The German healthcare group said Fresenius Helios will take over
Clinica de la Mujer via its private-hospital group Quironsalud. The
hospital had sales of around 20 million euros ($21.6 million) in
2019, Fresenius said.
The company didn't disclose any financial terms of the deal,
which is expected to close in the second quarter of the year, but
expects it to add to net income in fiscal year 2020.
Fresenius has previously bought hospitals in Medellin and Cali,
it said.
