                      Advance Visual Communications plc

The Company has today been notified of the following dealings by substantial
shareholders:

Michael Smith has sold 6,666,667 shares and is now interested in 8,670,127
shares (5.5 per cent.) and Concentric Holdings has acquired 4,833,334 shares
and now holds 6,033,334 shares (3.9 per cent.).  In addition, Michael Smith
has agreed to a lock-in for the remainder of his shares until 5 April 2002.
