As set out in the offer document issued by Achilles Netherlands Holdings B.V. 
("Achilles") on 23 November 2010 (the "Offer Document") John Barton, non- 
executive chairman of Brit Insurance, has resigned with immediate effect as a 
consequence of the settlement of the Contingent Value Payment.
