C.H.E. Group PLC is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement to
sell the Comfort Inn Edgbaston to a private buyer. The consideration for this
freehold property amounts to £4.2 million payable in cash on completion.

The hotel has 215 rooms and produced an operating profit of £385,000 on turnover
of £1.5 million during the year ended 31 December 2000. The current balance
sheet value of the hotel is £4.2 million.

The proceeds receivable for the above disposal will be utilised to repay bank
borrowings.
