         ECLIPSE BLINDS PLC ("Eclipse" or "the Group")
                                                              
                         Board Changes


Eclipse  is pleased to announce the appointments of Ted  Black
and David Michels as non-executive directors of the Group with
effect  from 1 July 1998.  It is proposed that Ted Black  will
succeed  Hamish  Grossart  as non-executive  chairman  of  the
company following the next board meeting which will be held in
July.

Ted  Black  was previously managing director of EFT Group  plc
from  1992  until the time of its acquisition by the  Bank  of
Scotland in July 1997.  Prior to setting up EFT Finance Ltd in
1987, the principal business activity of  EFT Group, Ted Black
had   previously  established  TSB  Scotlands  asset  finance
company  and,  prior  to  that, held senior  positions  within
Midland Bank group.  He is currently Director, Special  Duties
with the Bank of Scotland.

David  Michels  is chief executive of Stakis plc.   He  joined
Stakis  in  1991  having previously been deputy  chairman  and
managing director of Hilton UK and executive vice president of
Hilton International. Prior to this he spent several years  in
the United States with Grand Metropolitan Hotels.


Hamish Grossart, retiring non-executive chairman commented:

well  known  in  the  City.   I expect  Teds  leadership  and
business acumen to be of considerable benefit to Eclipse as it
continues to build on its excellent record of growth in  sales
and profits.

"David Michels  has won widespread acclaim for the improvement
in  fortunes  at  Stakis,  where  sales,  profits  and  market
capitalisation  have  grown  substantially  in  recent  years.
Davids  experience  of  sales  and  marketing,  coupled   his
knowledge of quoted company matters and experience in  the  US
will add much to the Eclipse board.
