INSPIRED EXTENDS MAJOR VIRTUAL SPORTS DEAL WITH STANLEYBET INTERNATIONAL
Inspired and Stanleybet continue major distribution of Virtual Sports
in Europe
7 October 2009: Inspired Gaming Group (INGG or Inspired), the leading player in
Open Server-Based Gaming (Open SBG(TM)), today announces the extension of
its worldwide, multi-year agreement with Stanleybet International to provide its
Virtual Sports System across the Stanleybet estates. The extension to the
current agreement includes the purchase of a significant number of new licences
for Inspired's Virtual Sports System, for licensed betting offices (LBOs) across
Europe.
Following strong revenue performance from Inspired's Virtual Sports System -
including football, horses, greyhounds, speedway and motor racing - across its
estate, Stanleybet has decided to roll out the product to more shops
throughout Europe. As well as major sports, the licences also include 'Lucky
Dip', a lottery-style numbers draw that is proving very popular in Europe.
Stanleybet International has over 1,700 LBOs in Europe and plans to increase the
number of shops operating Inspired's Virtual Sports System over the coming year,
due to the product's success in current territories.
Inspired's Virtual Sports are the world's most graphically advanced virtual
sports betting and gaming products and Inspired's products have generated in
excess of GBP3.5 billion in betting turnover since 2002.
Steven Rogers, Managing Director of Inspired's Virtual Gaming division,
commented: "This worldwide, multi-year agreement with Stanleybet International
is of great strategic importance to Inspired. Our Virtual Sports products are
becoming increasingly popular around the world and we are delighted to work with
Stanleybet to launch the product in more shops across Europe. The high graphical
quality of the core products supplied to Stanleybet and the availability of a
wide portfolio of events has enabled significant growth across many territories
- we are very excited about what the future holds for our continuing
relationship with Stanleybet."
David Purvis, Managing Director of Stanleybet International, added: "Virtual
sports are an important revenue stream for Stanleybet and form part of our
strategy to broaden our product offer. The popularity of Virtual Sports across
our shops in Europe has compelled us to expand these products to more of our
shops and we are delighted to continue our partnership with Inspired Gaming."
