                              Further Offer Update 
 
Further to the announcement of 7 July 2010, the directors of the Company confirm 
as at 1.00pm (London time) on 7 July 2010, being the original date and time for 
the closing of the Offer, Deepdale PNE Holdings Limited had received valid 
acceptances of the Offer in respect of 236,236 Preston North End Shares. 
Together with the shares already held by Deepdale this represents approximately 
82.62 per cent. of the existing issued share capital of the Company. 
 
As set out in the announcement of 7 July 2010, and in accordance with Rule 31.2 
of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers, Deepdale PNE Holdings Limited 
confirms that the Offer will remain open until further notice.  Before the Offer 
is closed, at least 14 days notice will be given to all Shareholders who have 
not accepted the Offer. 
 
Shareholders who wish to accept the Offer, and have not yet done so are urged to 
do so as soon as possible. The procedure for acceptance is set out in paragraph 
13 of Part III of the Offer Document. 
 
Any shareholders who have not received the Offer Document should contact

415 0299 between 8.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. (London time) Monday to Friday. Any 
queries concerning the procedure for the Offer, including any concerning a 
change of address or the loss of share certificates should also be directed to
