Strategic Minerals plc
("Strategic Minerals" or the "Company")
Appointment of Redmoor Community Adviser
Strategic Minerals Plc (AIM: SML; USOTC: SMCDY), the minerals
production and development company, announces that NAE Resources
Limited ("Redmoor"), the Company's joint venture with New Age
Exploration Limited (ASX: NAE) and owner of the Redmoor
Tin/Tungsten project, has entered a consulting arrangement with
Jeffrey Harrison, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining,
Minerals (Chartered Engineer) and a UK Member of the Institute of
Quarrying, as its Community Advisor for the Redmoor Project.
Jeffrey will represent the joint venture in its engagement with the
local community and in progressing land access for the planned
drilling programme scheduled to commence in the first half of
2017.
Jeffrey Harrison is an experienced mining engineer, operations
manager and general manager, with over 35 years' experience in the
mining industry. More recently, he was the Operations Manager for
Wolf Minerals, where he provided similar services that were
instrumental in gaining landowner and community support necessary
for the development of the Drakelands tungsten mine, commissioned
in 2015 and located 40km from the Company's mine site in Devon.
Jeffrey lives in Cornwall approximately 20km from the Redmoor
project.
Commenting, Strategic Mineral's Managing Director, John Peters,
said:
"We are delighted to have secured the services of such an
experienced operator, particularly as both Strategic Minerals and
New Age Exploration consider this role as critical to our
interaction with the Cornish community.
The appointment, coupled with the Company's recent
oversubscribed share issue, sees the Company in a good position to
exercise its option over a further 33.6% of shares in Redmoor and,
hence, provide the funds required to undertake the planed drilling
programme scheduled for the first half of 2017."

continues to provide a revenue stream for the Company. The
