Get ready for a day of celebration and learning as the National Black Cultural Information Trust Inc. hosts the African American Cultural Expo and Children's Book Fair in Waldorf, Maryland. This exciting event features a diverse range of local businesses, artists, and children's book authors, all coming together to celebrate African American cultural arts and literature.

WASHINGTON, July 18, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The National Black Cultural Information Trust Inc. will host the 2nd Annual African American Cultural Expo and Children's Book Fair on Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 10 am-4 pm ET. Last year's expo, hosted in Silver Spring, MD, garnered over 3000 registrants and attendees. The expo and festival will feature 20 businesses, nonprofits, artists, and 30 Black children's book authors. NBCI Trust is hosting the expo at the Capital Clubhouse Arena, Southern Maryland's ultimate recreational complex in Waldorf, MD. The 90,000-square-foot facility sees 400,000 feet of traffic annually. Waldorf, MD (located in Charles County), is a thriving predominantly African American community located 23 miles southeast of Washington, DC.

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees can attend author book readings, create their own arts and crafts, shop with vendors, and attend live performances throughout the day. There will also be door prizes and gift bags. Grammy-nominated children's entertainer, author & educator, "Culture Queen" is the Mistress of Ceremonies. There will also be performances by Culture Queen and Magician Don Juan. It will be a fun-filled day for the entire family.
