                     Take up of Scrip Dividend Alternative



The Board of Conister Trust PLC announces that a total of 127,172 ordinary
shares have now been allotted to shareholders who have opted to receive ordinary
shares in the Company in lieu of the dividend in respect of the Company's year
ended 31 December 2002 at the reference price of 32p per share.


Application has been made for these shares to be admitted to AIM and trading is
expected to commence on 30 May 2003.
