Orange, TF1 Could Find Common Ground: Bryan Garnier -- Market Talk

Dow Jones News
0913 GMT - There's no reason why French TV station TF1 and
Orange can't reach common ground in the near future, Bryan Garnier
says, after the companies failed to agree on a distribution deal. A
lasting dispute between both parties could harm them, the
brokerage--which remains "fairly optimistic"--says. Around 25% of
TF1's audience comes from Orange, and TF1's cumulated audience
share is about 28%, BG says. The brokerage says the companies can't
ignore each other. TF1 was in the same situation with French
telecommunications company SFR last year before reaching an
agreement, while Orange has already signed a deal with TV channel
M6 that is similar to what TF1 was proposing, the brokerage
says.(marc.bisbalarias@dowjones.com; @bamarc)
