JDA® Software Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: JDAS), The
Supply Chain Company®, today announced that Anna’s Linens, a
specialty retailer of high quality, value-priced domestic and home
furnishings, has successfully implemented JDA® Point-of-Sale
(POS).
The company, which operates more than 280 stores in 19 states,
selected JDA’s proven POS solution to help improve the customer
experience at the store level, streamline the efficiencies for its
store operations team, and create a foundation for workforce
management planning at the store level.
“Our previous POS system was an older legacy system that did not
have the capability and functionality to enable advanced couponing,
capture customer data, and integrate with our workforce management
system,” said Scott Gladstone, chief operating officer,
Anna’s Linens. “Our goal was to leverage JDA solutions to
secure a competitive advantage and provide our customers with a
higher level of service while targeting their needs and continuing
to deliver value to them.”
The implementation occurred in two phases, with three months of
planning and design followed by deployment and go-lives at two
pilot stores and eventual rollout to all of Anna’s Linens stores.
The company replaced its existing POS system with JDA POS, as well
as planned integration with JDA® Merchandise Management System
(MMS).
As a result of this project, Anna’s Linens has achieved better
performance from its POS registers, enabled a powerful foundation
for new marketing activities, gained better data control and
reporting, and now has the ability to differentiate a continuous
buyer from a continuous returner in one comprehensive solution.
“We know that in order to continue to drive revenue and increase
profits, we need to stay very focused on our customers,” said
Gladstone. “Having the appropriate application at the store level
allows us to capture the important customer data we need that
allows us to serve our customers better than the competition.”
“JDA Point-of-Sale is designed to provide retailers like Anna’s
Linens with the ability to provide consistent, efficient, accurate
and secure checkout experiences for their customers, including
automated promotional executions that support corporate
strategies,” said Wayne Usie, senior vice president, retail, JDA
Software. “By gaining greater insight into their customer base
at a very detailed level, Anna’s Linens can continue to better
target and market product offerings to their customers that add
value, enhance profitability and increase revenue while improving
the customer experience.”
