RESTON, Va., March 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Leidos (NYSE:
LDOS), a FORTUNE 500® science, information technology, and
engineering leader, announced today it was awarded a follow-on task
order by the General Services Administration (GSA) to provide
mission support services to the U.S. Army's
Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering
Center (CERDEC) Prototyping Integration and Testing Division
(PI&TD). The single-award follow-on task order has a one-year
base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total
contract value of approximately $230
million. Work will primarily be performed in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., with additional
support at Fort Bragg, N.C. and
Tobyhanna Army Depot, Pa.
CERDEC uses its unique set of core competencies to develop,
integrate and deliver innovative technology solutions that inform
and empower soldiers at all levels and help protect them from
surprise attack. Leidos will support CERDEC's PI&TD by
delivering equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools,
materials and other items and services necessary to perform
Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence,
Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems integration.
Leidos' work will help PI&TD integrate C4ISR systems into
military and aerospace equipment and weapons systems, as well as
support evaluation exercises.
With a focus on innovative engineering capabilities, Leidos has
demonstrated proven performance to support the critical path of
specialty equipment and successful prototyping and integration for
PI&TD. Leidos and its teammates developed a custom, web-based
material tracking and procurement system, called InView,
able to meet PI&TD's unique needs.
