L-3 Awarded U.S. Air Force KC-10 Contractor Logistics Support Contract

L-3 Communications (NYSE:LLL) announced today that its Vertex
Aerospace division was awarded a contract from the U.S. Air Force
(USAF) to provide full contractor logistics support (CLS) for the
KC-10 aircraft. The total approximate value of this
indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is up to $1.9
billion over a nine-year performance period that begins with a July
2016 six-month phase-in.

Under the contract, L-3 will provide Contractor Operated and
Maintained Base Supply (COMBS), Field Service Representative (FSR)
and depot maintenance support for 59 USAF KC-10 aircraft, as well
as COMBS and FSR support for the Aerial Refueling System for two
Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) KDC-10 aircraft. The contract
includes all parts, materials and repairs to sustain the fleet;
depot heavy maintenance; other depot and field activities; and
overhaul of major components. Key teammates include HAECO Americas
Airframe Services, Cobham Mission Equipment, The Triumph Group and
Hawker Pacific Aerospace.
