Lincoln National Convertible Securities Fund Declares Quarterly
Dividend PHILADELPHIA, April 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board
of Directors of Lincoln National Convertible Securities Fund, Inc.
has declared a quarterly dividend of 17 cents per share. The
dividend is payable on April 30, 2004 to shareholders of record on
April 16, 2004. The ex-dividend date will be April 14, 2004. The
Fund's SEC yield for the 30 days ended March 31, 2004 was 4.58%
based on the market value of the Fund's common stock on March 31,
2004. Lincoln National Convertible Securities Fund is a closed-end,
diversified investment management company managed by Delaware
Management Company. Delaware Management Company is a series of
Delaware Management Business Trust, a wholly owned subsidiary of
Lincoln National Corporation. In April 2002, the Fund implemented a
managed distribution policy. Under the policy, the Fund is managed
with a goal of generating as much of the dividend as possible from
ordinary income (net investment income and short- term capital
gains). The balance of the dividend then comes from long-term
capital gains and, if necessary, a return of capital. The Fund's
primary objective is to provide a high level of total return
through a combination of capital appreciation and current income.
As of March 31, 2004, net assets under management were
