MILWAUKEE, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (NYSE:MI) (M&I) today announced that its Board of Directors has declared the first quarterly cash dividend of $21.7 million, or $12.64 per share, on its 1,715,000 shares of Senior Preferred Stock, Series B. The Senior Preferred Stock was purchased from M&I by the U.S. Treasury as part of the U.S. Treasury's Capital Purchase Program. The dividend is payable on February 16, 2009 to the shareholder of record of the Senior Preferred Stock at the close of business on February 5, 2009. The U.S. Treasury is currently the only shareholder of record of the Senior Preferred Stock.
