EDP-Energias de Portugal SA said Thursday that its installed capacity fell and that total electricity generation was broadly stable in the first quarter of the year.

The Portuguese energy company said, as of the end of March, it had an installed capacity of 26.5 gigawatts, compared with 27.2 gigawatts in the year-earlier period due to the deconsolidation of wind portfolios in Europe, Brazil and the U.S.

Electricity generated in the first quarter of the year was broadly stable at 18.3 terawatts hour, the company said.

EDP said total electricity distributed in the period fell 1.5% on year in the Iberian peninsula and 5.1% in Brazil.

The company is scheduled to release first-quarter results on May 7.
