STOCKHOLM--Swedbank said it has appointed Anna-Karin Laurell as
the new head of Swedish banking and Malin Lilliecrona as head of a
new business area with a focus on premium and private banking
customers.
The Swedish lender said Monday that at the same time, corporate
customers currently handled by advisors in Swedish banking are
being moved to its corporates and institutions division.
Swedbank said that Laurell has experience as chief executive of
sales and customer service manager in banking, insurance,
telecommunications and the auction market and was previously head
of marketing and sales at insurer Folksam.
Lilliecrona is currently head of Swedbank's wealth sales
organization within Swedish banking.
Laurell and Lilliecrona will take up their positions no later
than April 1, 2024, and will both become part of Swedbank's group
executive committee.
Current head of Swedish banking Mikael Bjorknert will take on
the role of senior advisor when the new business-area managers take
over, it added.
