Leighton & Henley plc: A Pre-IPO Opportunity


The Company intends to acquire and develop residential properties and sites
situated mainly in the Northern Home Counties. The Company will also acquire
suitable brown field sites, refurbishment or conversion opportunities that
become available from time to time.

The Directors intend to position the Company to take advantage of what they
believe to be an under exploited source of development opportunities. Typically
developments range between five and thirty units comprising houses or flats.
These developments are often too small for national house builders yet too large
for local, smaller businesses. Many of these sites require a high degree of
planning and construction expertise which the Directors are able to provide.


City & Merchant Pre-IPO EIS Fund: An EIS opportunity


The City & Merchant Group has specialised for the past fifteen years in advising
on and arranging investments in smaller quoted and unquoted UK companies on an
individual basis. The deal flow and quality of opportunities now being received
by the Group means that there is the prospect of investors being able to invest
in a number of individual EIS qualifying companies, such as to benefit from a
wider portfolio spread, without losing the prospect of significant capital
growth of their investments achieved by investing at the pre-IPO stage.

With EIS products, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax benefits are available,
City & Merchant is looking to build a balanced portfolio of smaller quoted and
unquoted investments which will over the years provide investors with an
enhanced prospect of growth without jeopardising the underlying benefits of tax
planning available to them.


Matrix Income & Growth VCT 4 plc: A Venture Captital Trust


MIG 4 VCT, formerly TriVen VCT, was originally established as a multi-manager
VCT. In July 2006 Matrix Private Equity Partners was appointed to be the sole
Investment Adviser.

The Company will reflect a similar investment strategy to the existing Matrix
Income and Growth VCTs, aiming to provide a growing stream of twice-yearly
tax-free dividends to shareholders as well as long-term capital growth. MIG 4
already has a mature portfolio.

As at 31 July 2006 the portfolio comprised of investments in 26 companies and
was made up of 40.8% loan stock with an average annual running yield of 7.7%.
The balance is held in ordinary shares, cash and money market funds. Investing
into a VCT with an established portfolio offers the potential for earlier
investment realisations and capital gains compared to new VCTs.


The Edge Performance VCT 1 & 2: Venture Capital Trusts


Edge Performance is an innovative VCT which offers the opportunity to invest in
the entertainment industry, concentrating on live music, theatre, sports,
festivals and other events, and utilising arrangements that seek to combine high
targeted returns with reduced downside risk and enhanced liquidity whilst
allowing investors to take advantage of VCT tax reliefs.
