   ARCO DECLARES REGULAR QUARTERLY DIVIDEND ON THREE CLASSES OF STOCK
 
 
   Los Angeles, January 26 - ARCO's Board of Directors (NYSE: ARC) today
declared regular quarterly dividends on three classes of the company's stock.
 
   A dividend of 71.25 cents a share was declared on Common Stock payable
March 13 to stockholders of record at the close of business on February 13.
 
   A dividend of 75 cents a share was declared on $3.00 Cumulative Convertible
Preference Stock payable March 20 to stockholders of record at the close of
business on February 13.
 
   A dividend of 70 cents a share was declared on $2.80 Cumulative Convertible
Preference Stock payable March 20 to stockholders of record at the close of
business on February 13.
