THE DIRECTORS' DEALING INVESTMENT TRUST PLC 
 
The Company announces today that, in order to maintain compliance with section 
162B of the Companies Act 1985, it has cancelled 1,348,000 Ordinary shares that 
were held in Treasury. 
 
Following the cancellation, the Company will have 10,324,049 Ordinary Shares in 
issue, of which 1,032,000 Shares are held in treasury, representing 9.996% of 
the Shares in issue. The figure of 9,292,049 (which excludes the Shares held in 
treasury) may be used by Shareholders as the denominator for the calculations 
by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, 
or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and 
Transparency Rules.
