              Eurocity Properties PLC ("Eurocity" or "the Company")

The Board of Eurocity is pleased to announce the acquisition of two adjoining
retail units in Main Street, Coatbridge, Scotland, one feuhold and one 999 year
leasehold at a peppercorn rent.  The combined units are let to Next PLC until
2011 at a current rent of #64,500 per annum, with rent reviews in 2001 and 2006.

The purchase price was #585,000, which has been financed by a mortgage of
#555,000 with the balance from the Company's cash resources.

Commenting on the acquistion, Baron Bloom, Managing Director, said: "this
property is an excellent addition to our existing Scottish retail portfolio and
should provide an immediate benefit both to our balance sheet and
profitability."
