Amazon Seeking to Invest Up to $1 Billion Over 10 Years in Indonesia, Finance Minister Says

JAKARTA--Amazon.com Inc. is seeking to enter the Indonesian
market with an investment of as much as $1 billion over 10 years,
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said Friday.
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said Amazon officials are
visiting Jakarta following a meeting with President Joko Widodo
recently in Hanoi on the sidelines of a regional business
forum.
Amazon officials haven't announced investment plans for
Indonesia.
"What activities they will do, you'd better ask the company,"
Ms. Mulyani said.
