Offers New Site Services to Prepare Networking Environments for VoIP, Internet and Data Services ASHBURN, Va., Oct. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MCI, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCIP) today announced it is expanding and standardizing its suite of Site Services to help companies quickly and efficiently prepare their networking environments for a broad range of VoIP, Internet and Data solutions. Offering customers a one-stop resource through its expanded array of professional services, MCI's team of converged networking service and support experts is helping customers with their network deployment from beginning to end. "By offering a one-stop resource with standardized end-to-end capabilities, MCI is strengthening its ability to provide more complete solutions for customers while saving them time and resources." MCI will provide technical service and support to enterprise customers of all sizes to ensure corporate networks are well architected and implemented with its newly available Site Audit, Assessment and Installation/ De-Installation Services. As networks become more critical to a company's business-especially networks carrying both voice and data traffic-each step of the deployment must be engineered to perform at high levels of performance and reliability. With MCI's Site Services customers also can streamline and expedite the service installation process, enabling them to go-to-market faster. Tapping MCI's team of U.S. service and support field technicians, customers can now choose from an expanded services set including: Site Audits to provide an inventory of the customer's site. Tasks include auditing device types, tracking serial numbers, measuring circuits and power availability and identifying demarcation locations. Site Assessments to ensure a customer's existing technology and infrastructure environment is capable of supporting additional applications or services. MCI will evaluate variables such as bandwidth utilization, network traffic, latency interference and environmental characteristics, and then make recommendations regarding whether infrastructure upgrades are necessary. Installation/De-installation Services to help customers ready their networking environments for next-generation customer premise-based services at their site, or to install or de-install customer-furnished equipment, racks, shelves and miscellaneous devices from MCI or a third-party vendor. These new additions join MCI's existing Site Services portfolio, comprising Inside Wiring, Extended Demarcation and Site Survey offerings. All Site Services are available with MCI's Private IP, Frame Relay, ATM, Private Line, Managed Network Services, Local and Long Distance Voice, Third Party Transport, MCI Advantage IP Integrated Access and Internet Dedicated offerings. Beginning in the first quarter of 2006, MCI plans to extend support to its government and wholesale accounts as well as provide support for additional offerings, including Managed IP PBX, Managed Internet Dedicated Access, IP VPN Dedicated and IP VPN Remote and Broadband Services. MCI's Site Services are offered in the 48 contiguous U.S. states and are flexibly priced on a standard, time and material or custom basis.
