Specialty Underwriters' Alliance, Inc. Expands Business With Partner Agent to Include Workers' Compensation Program

CHICAGO, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Specialty Underwriters'
Alliance, Inc. (NASDAQ:SUAI) announced that it amended its Partner
Agent Program Agreement with Appalachian Underwriters, Inc. ("AUI")
to include small employers workers' compensation. AUI will provide
workers' compensation through approximately 600 retail agents. The
program will be available to small businesses of less than $15,000
in premium with relatively low hazard grades. The program will
initially focus on Texas, Nevada and Illinois and will likely
expand into additional states in the future. AUI writes
approximately $350 million in workers' compensation each year and
is licensed in over 40 states. About Specialty Underwriters'
