Accenture PLC on Thursday said it acquired Gevity, a strategy and consulting service provider.

Accenture said Gevity provides consulting services, assists in digital transformations and offers information systems design implementations, among other services, to the healthcare industry.

Gevity, which is based in Victoria, British Columbia, has a team of almost 100 experts and practitioners across Canada who support clients across the globe, Accenture said.

Jeffrey Russell, president of Accenture in Canada, said addition of Gevity will expand the company's capabilities in delivering health transformation services in Canada and other global markets. "The acquisition positions Accenture to lead the wave of tech-enabled health innovation that places people's health at the center to improve access, experience, and outcomes," he said

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

Also on Thursday, Accenture said it completed the acquisition of Google Cloud services boutique Wabion, which has headquarters in Esslingen, Germany, and Olten, Switzerland.
