Houston Astros All-Star Jose Altuve Showcases
Unique Combination of Technology, Speed and Convenience
Bank of America extends ATM with Teller Assist® across the
Houston metro area, growing to 25 banking centers and more than 75
devices by year-end. ATMs with Teller Assist combine the technology
of an ATM with the ability to get personal assistance from an
on-screen teller through video technology. Today, Major League
Baseball All-Star and Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve
will demonstrate the technology, speed and convenience of the ATM
with Teller Assist at a local Houston banking center.
ATMs with Teller Assist allow customers the ability to speak
with a teller in English or Spanish, seven days a week during
extended hours – before and after banking center hours. Bank of
America first introduced the technology in April 2013, and the
devices are now in 21 markets from coast to coast. To date, more
than 1.2 million teller-assisted transactions have been
completed.
Altuve recognizes the need for speed on and off the field: “I’m
known for my speed in the game. Off the field, I expect speed with
everything I do, even my banking. Bank of America’s ATM with Teller
Assist makes it easy to take care of all of my banking quickly.
It’s very convenient – located right inside my local bank,
available extended hours and has tellers available to speak with me
in English or Spanish.”
In addition to convenient hours and availability in English and
Spanish, ATMs with Teller Assist let customers:
- Cash checks and receive exact
change.
- Receive cash withdrawals in a variety
of denominations ($1, $5, $20 and $100).
- Deposit checks with cash back.
- Make Bank of America loan or credit
card payments.
- Access their accounts with a U.S.
government-issued photo ID if ATM/debit card is not available.
- Receive available balances for Bank of
America accounts.
“With Thanksgiving near and the December holidays around the
corner, having a quick and convenient way to bank is more important
than ever,” said Elizabeth Romero, Bank of America consumer banking
area executive. “The personalized service of speaking with a
teller, combined with the technology and extended hours of an ATM,
help customers get their banking done faster so they can get back
to their holiday shopping and social activities,” said Romero.
