The following table lists unplanned and planned production
outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The
information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining
sources and doesn't purport to be a comprehensive list.
BP PLC (BP, BP.LN) on May 7 notified Texas state environmental
regulators of its plan to restart several residual hydrotreating
unit, or RHU, trains as part of its efforts to bring its Texas
City, Texas, refinery back to normal processing rates. Gasoline
production resumed on May 3 for the first time since a power outage
caused the shut down of the entire plant, a person familiar with
operations there said.
Sunoco (SUN) said on May 5 that its Philadelphia and Marcus Hook
refineries in Pennsylvania were operating at planned rates
following multiple outages.
Frontier Oil Corp. (FTO) on May 5 said its Cheyenne refinery
should return to targeted run rates next week after undergoing an
equipment upgrades. The company has no maintenance planned for any
of its refineries for the remainder of the year.
Holly Oil Corp. (HOC) on May 5 said a crude-distillation unit at
the Tulsa refinery should be back to normal next week after
shutting down on April 22 for unplanned maintenance.
Citgo Corp. on May 5 briefly shut a coker unit at its Corpus
Christi, Texas, refinery for maintenance.
Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) on May 4 said its refinery in Aruba
was nearing planned rates after restarting a crude unit shut last
week for unplanned maintenance.
PBF Energy on May 4 said its Paulsboro, New Jersey, refinery is
up and running after recently concluding planned turnaround
maintenance. PBF's Delaware City refinery is on track to start up
in 2nd quarter 2011.
Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) on May 3 said its Texas City, Texas,
refinery had resumed normal processing rates following last weeks
power-related plant wide shutdown.
ConocoPhillips (COP) on May 3 said its Wilmington, California,
refinery had resumed normal operations after a power dip on May 2
shut down several processing units.
Tesoro Corp. (TSO) on May 2 said planned maintenance that began
on April 28 at its Anacortes, Washington, refinery had no impact on
operations. The work was expected to conclude on May 2 a filing to
environmental regulators said.
