JPMorgan Chase announced today the retirement of Maria Quintana,
Commercial Banking executive vice president. Quintana has served as
a member of the company’s Indiana leadership team for 16 years and
helped establish the firm as a market leader. Quintana will leave
JPMorgan Chase at the end of the first quarter of 2015.
During her 35 years with JPMorgan Chase, Quintana has held a
variety of leadership positions. Her primary focus during the past
14 years has been the Government, Not-for-Profit, and Healthcare
business, where her responsibilities included delivering tailored
lending, treasury and asset management solutions to clients in
these sectors. She has played an integral role in many of the State
of Indiana’s most significant transactions. Most recently, she has
focused on key strategic initiatives, government relations,
community engagement and philanthropy in the greater Indianapolis
area.
“Maria’s focus on cultivating relationships -- with clients,
employees and community partners –has been vital to our success in
Indiana. Her knowledge of the industry and market has made her a
much sought out resource across all our lines of business in
Indiana and beyond. We will miss her leadership, energy, expertise
and friendship,” said Al Smith, Chairman of Chase in Indiana.
A life-long Hoosier, Quintana is an active member of the
business community. She currently serves on the boards of the
Women’s Fund of Central Indiana; the United Way of Central Indiana,
Local Initiatives Support Corporation, and the Indiana Latino
Institute. She also serves on the Central Indiana Advisory
committee for the Jefferson Awards, and the marketing committee for
Christel House International.
Quintana’s past community activities include service to the
Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, the Independent Colleges of
Indiana, the Indianapolis Marion County Building authority, the
Wishard Memorial Foundation, John Boner Community Center, Habitat
for Humanity, Indiana CPA Society, Community Centers of
Indianapolis, and the Directors Circle for St. Elizabeth
Coleman.
In 2014, Quintana received the NFL’s Hispanic Heritage
Leadership Award. She was an inductee into the Indianapolis Public
Schools Alumni Hall of Fame in 2012 and was also recognized with
the Lis Dailey Award for outstanding board service by United Way of
Central Indiana. For her exceptional service she was honored in
2011, with the Center for Leadership Development Minority Business
& Professional Achievers Award for Achievement in Financial
Services. In 2010, Quintana was named a “Women of Influence” by the
Indianapolis Business Journal.
