Siemens AG (SIE.XE) said Wednesday that it has received an order for 19 gas compressors to be used in an overhaul of Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.'s Ruwais refinery.

The order came from Samsung Engineering Co. Ltd. (028050.SE) and McDermott International Inc.'s (MDR) Chicago Bridge & Iron Company subsidiary, which are overseeing the project, Siemens said.

The upgrade will improve flexibility at the refinery's crude processing facility, allowing Adnoc to export more of its lighter-grade Murban crude.

Siemens said the project should be completed by 2022.
