Group today announced that chief operations officer Doreen DeLaney
has been named a Corporate Trailblazer by Minorities in Business
Magazine. She will be honored this week at the publication's 10th
Annual Multicultural Prism Awards (MPA) Gala on Thursday, December
15, 2005 at the Hilton Hotel in Universal City, California. The
Corporate Trailblazer award is given to an active member of
community organizations who has consistently demonstrated
excellence in his/her professional life and has pioneered the way
for others. Doreen will accept the award for this distinction
alongside individuals in business, sports, entertainment and
fashion that will be recognized for their accomplishments in a
variety of additional categories. In her role as chief operations
officer, Doreen provides oversight and strategic direction for
Countrywide Insurance Group's information technology, claims,
central operations, and human resource activities. Her work in
maintaining business continuity during this year's hurricane season
was pivotal in allowing Countrywide Insurance Group to support the
