Memory chip maker SK Hynix (000660.SE) plans to build a new factory in South Korea next year to meet growing demand for mobile devices, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing two people familiar with the matter. The plan calls for an investment of at least 4 trillion won ($3.8 billion) in the new plant and on maintenance and technology upgrades at existing facilities, these people said. Mass production of DRAM chips is expected to start as early as 2015, one of the people said.
