Azerbaijan is expected to produce between 45 million and 46 million tons of crude oil next year, a 13% fall from 2011, an official at the country's state oil company Socar said Friday.

Of the total, the BP PLC (BP)-operated Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field in the Caspian Sea is expected to produce 36 million tons of crude, said Khoshbakht Yusifzade, a vice president at Socar.
