ADRs End Lower; Shell, Vinci Trade Actively

International stocks trading in New York closed lower on
Thursday.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts
fell 1.5% to 125.55. The European index decreased 1.9% to 117.22,
the Asian index fell 1% to 149.63, the Latin American index dropped
0.2% to 189.90 and the emerging markets index decreased 0.8% to
263.36.
Shell PLC and Vinci SA were among the companies with ADRs that
traded actively.
ADRs of Shell PLC fell 4.4% after the company said it expects
integrated gas trading and optimization results to fall for the
quarter due to seasonality and due to a volatile market.
ADRs of Vinci fell 4.2 % after the company said it signed an
engineering, procurement and construction contract to build
Germany's first liquefied natural gas terminal. The French
infrastructure company was awarded the contract through its Cobra
IS subsidiary working in consortium with Spanish company Sener.
ADRs of Nokia Corp. fell 1.1% after it said Chief Legal Officer
Nassib Abou-Khalil is stepping down from his position and leaving
the company. A recruitment process will begin immediately for his
successor, Nokia said.
