Telekomunikacja Polska SA (TPS.WA), Poland's largest communications company, hasn't been approached by French media conglomerate Vivendi SA (VIV.FR) about partnering it on a possible bid for Polish television broadcaster TVN SA (TVN.WA), TPSA Chief Executive Maciej Witucki said at a conference with analysts Wednesday.

TPSA is ready to consider such a partnership if approached, he added.

"We know how to partner, we've done partnerships in the past," he said when asked about Polish news reports that Vivendi was considering teaming up with the telecommunications firm on a bid for TVN.

"But I can only speak about partnerships I have discussions about. I'm not in a discussion with the head of Vivendi about a partnership. If there's a proposition, we'll look at it--today there's nothing on this front," he said.

TPSA is controlled by France Telecom SA (FTE.FT).

Polish entertainment group ITI Holdings SA said in July it was considering selling its entire 56% stake in TVN, worth about 2.83 billion zlotys ($900 million) at current market prices. Vivendi's supervisory board chairman, Jean-Rene Fourtou, told daily Rzeczpospolita in October the company was considering building a consortium with a Polish partner that would bid for TVN.
