BROOKS MACDONALD GROUP PLC
Senior leadership changes
Directorate Change
Brooks Macdonald Group plc (the "Group"), the AIM listed UK
investment management group, today announces Board and senior
leadership changes. This is against the backdrop of a fast changing
external environment and is in line with the business priorities
and investment plans previously set out.
After 17 years at Brooks Macdonald, Simon Jackson, Group Finance
Director, has decided to step down from the Board and will leave
the Group in April 2018. Simon has been a key member of the
leadership team and has played a valuable role in the success
achieved during that time. A process to identify his successor is
underway and an announcement will be made in due course. Simon will
remain an active member of the leadership team until April and will
assist in the handover of his responsibilities.
Andrew Shepherd will take on an expanded role to include the
position of Managing Director, Distribution, as well as continuing
as Group Deputy CEO. This is a key Group appointment in positioning
our business for future growth, as we focus on enhancing our
offering to the professional intermediary sector as well as
providing the highest levels of service to advisers both in the UK
and internationally. This expanded role comes into effect on 1
February 2018.
We are also pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Wood as
Chief Operating Officer, adding to our leadership capabilities (a
non-Board role). Jason joins Brooks Macdonald after 21 years at
Schroders plc and brings extensive experience in Operations,
Technology and Change. Jason will lead enhancements to our
technology strategy and operational framework, to deliver improved
effectiveness and efficiency, as we build a stronger platform for
sustainable growth.
Caroline Connellan, Chief Executive of Brooks Macdonald,
commented
"As previously outlined, we are investing to enhance our
capabilities to support our investment teams and to ensure we
continue to meet and exceed our clients' and advisers'
expectations. The appointments we have announced today will enable
us to build on our success to date and create a stronger platform
for delivering future growth whilst pursuing greater efficiency and
progressively improving our margins."
Chris Knight, Chairman of Brooks Macdonald, commented:
"I would like to thank Simon for his valuable contribution to
the business over the last 17 years; this has encompassed the early
years as the business became established, through its float on AIM
in 2005, and subsequent acquisitions and fund raisings, helping the
Group grow to its current funds under management of over GBP11bn.
We wish him all the best for the future."
