    Directorate Change

    Chieftain today announces that, following the announcement on 31 October 2008 by Redhall Group plc that its recommended cash offer for
Chieftain had been declared unconditional in all respects, William Taylor, Chief Executive, and Stanley Elliott, Finance Director, resigned
from the Company on 4 November 2008. The Company also announces that Peter Wardle, Non-executive Chairman and Christopher Fleetwood and John
Dawson, both Non-executive Directors, resigned from the Company on 31 October 2008.

    Chieftain also announces the appointment of Robert Simon Foster, age 37, and Christopher Lewis-Jones, age 48, as directors with
