                           AGM and Trading statement

At the AGM of the company to be held later on today, Peter McGuinness, Chairman
of Chromogenex plc, will make the following statement:

"The company reported results for the year ended 31st December 2006 in March
which showed a 36% increase in sales and 282% increase in profit after tax. The
final quarter of 2006 was the strongest to date resulting from continued demand
for the Chromolite Intense Pulsed Light system and a renewed interest in the
Nlite laser system from both existing and new markets.

"The recent launch of the Smoothshapes product for the treatment of cellulite
has been successful. The product was launched in the US at the recent American
Society for Lasers in Medicine conference by Smoothshapes Inc and sales to date
are ahead of expectations.

"Also we are pleased to announce the successful launch of US FDA approved
Chromolite S, with an order for 100 systems, the largest single order for the
company to date.

This is a significant order for Chromogenex with delivery of the systems due to
take place in the 3rd quarter of this year.

Chromolite S is the next generation of the top selling Chromolite, and interest
from distributors has been encouraging. Whilst some have held off orders of the
previous model in the first half, in anticipation of the S model, current orders
are ahead of expectations. Chromolite S uses a Sapphire waveguide and Smartlite
technology which doubles the energy output and enhances skin cooling to increase
safety and efficacy. This allows it to compete with high end IPL systems whilst
maintaining its competitive pricing model.

"Further development has also been completed on the Nlite and sales of this
product continue to increase in line with internal forecasts. The renewed
interest in Nlite seen in the last quarter of 2006 has continued and the company
is positive about the prospects going forward.

"2006 was a successful year for the company and has laid the foundation for
expansion of its product line and distribution network. The company plans to
introduce some exciting new products in the second half of 2007 which will
strengthen its distributor relationships by offering a comprehensive product
range and broaden its revenue base."
