Chloride Group PLC ("Chloride") has today received notification in accordance
with Sections 198-202 of the Companies Act 1985 that Deutsche Bank AG and its
subsidiary companies (together "Deutsche Bank") has a notifiable interest in
34,883,030 Ordinary Shares of 25p each in Chloride, being 14.07% of the issued
ordinary share capital of Chloride.



The previous position notified by Deutsche Bank was on 23 April 2002, when its
interest in 34,635,234 (13.98%) Chloride ordinary shares was disclosed.
