Heywood Williams Group PLC ("the Company") advises that in accordance with the 
FSA's Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules Sourcebook, it received notice on 
5 October 2009 from Barclays PLC ("Barclays") on behalf of Barclays Stockbrokers 
Ltd and Gerrard Investment Management Ltd advising that as a result of an 
acquisition of shares on 1 October 2009 Barclays now has an indirect interest in 
the voting rights of 8,268,077 of the Company's ordinary shares. As a result 
Barclays' holding has crossed the 9% threshold and represents 9.74% of the 
Company's issued share capital.
